he Honolulu Pride Festival Foundation was established in 2007 under the founders Patrick J. Miller, Jonz Stoneroad and Ms. Kathy Miller. With their help they successfully produced and continued the legacy of the Hawaii LGBTQ Pride Parade and Festival Events. The Parade and Festival Events were nearly extinguished because the Aloha Pride Center folded. They understood and acknowledged that there was a needed effort in continuing this legacy here in Hawaii and ultimately provided Hawaii’s LGBTQ community with this annual event.
In December of 2009 after much debate and years of volunteering to help to produce the annual events, the founders decided it was time to hand the reigns over to another group of hard working and dedicated individuals who were just as passionate about the annual events as they were and unanimously elected the reigning board to continue the goals of allowing the community to have this Pride event.
